Converting Pathway application to Webpages

Using Cornerstones's RSOM software, a traditional Pathway system can be converted into a Webpage based system delivering functionality to the end-user through a broweser such as Internet Explorer, whilst preserving the existing Cobol Pathway Servers.

Advantages

  • No special and costly emulation software is required on the user's PC.
  • The Browser based software can be seamlessly integrated into your other user systems.
  • Designers can build screens using cheap and readily available tools such as Dreamweaver or Front page instead of the old Scobol screen definitions.

Connecting Tandem data to your other systems

Using Cornerstones's DynaAccess software, your Tandem Enscribe and SQL data can be made available to your Windows and UNIX application.

For example:
A Visual Basic or Omnis program on a Windows box requires access to SQL data held on the Tandem. Previously a nightly download was done to the Windows system. Now the VB software can access the SQL data direct from the Tandem, viewing it as an ODBC table.

  • Your users get up-to-date information (Zero Latency)
  • No need for any programming or nightly downloads on the Tandem.
